Zmitser Dashkevich Enlightens Ministry Of Culture About White-Red-White Flag

He submitted a scientific research, confirming that the national flag is a historical value, to the ministerial officials.

On Tuesday, September 19, the Young Front leader Zmitser Dashkevich visited the Ministry of Culture of Belarus, Euroradio reports.

He submitted a scientific research which confirms that the white-red-white flag is a historical value for Belarus, to the officials. Eduard Palchys, the founder of the website 1863x.com, accompanied him and streamed the meeting live on Facebook.

Today is the 26th anniversary of the day when the Supreme Council of Belarus made the white-red-white flag and the “Pahonia” coat-of-arms national symbols of the country. They remained such till 1995.

Last year, the Young Front activists collected 10 thousand signatures for the recognition of the white-red-white flag as a non-material historical and cultural value in Belarus. However, the officials demanded “scientific justification”, and now they have it. Candidate of historical sciences Aliaksandr Kuryanovich helped to prepare the research.
