Shoygu Doesn't Want To Observe Maneuvers On One Training Ground With Lukashenka

The dictator arrived at the training ground near Barysau without an "ally."

Belarusian-Russian joint strategic exercises West-2017 are officially completed today, September 20. The main attention is focused on the Barysauski training ground, where Lukashenka arrived, his press service reports.

Lukashenka was accompanied by the head of the Security Council Stanislau Zas, Defense Minister Andrei Raukou, Interior Minister Ihar Shunevich, Security Assistant and the ruler's eldest son Viktar Lukashenka.

A helicopter brought the dictator to the ground at around 10 am. The State Secretary of the Union State Grigory Rapota and Russian Ambassador to Belarus Alexander Surikov will observe the drills together with the dictator. The Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoygu was also expected to arrive, the defense departments of the two countries said, but for some unknown reason the head of the Russian Defense Ministry did not come to the Barysauski training ground.

We remind, that on September 16, during the Belarusian-Russian military exercises West-2017, a Ka-52 helicopter fired rockets at the spectators who were close to the Luzhsky training ground near St. Petersburg. Three people suffered serious injuries. Sources suggest that the launch of air-to-ground missiles occurred accidentally due to malfunctions.
