‘We All Are Opposition And Decisive Authority In Country’

Many more Belarusians will come out to the Square in Minsk on October 21.

The social networks users are discussing the upcoming Outraged Belarusians’ March 2.0.

Many people recall the actions which happened this spring and say they are confident that the autumn will be as hot.

The website of the Belarusian National Congress quotes only several comments from the community “We are sick of this Lukashenka” on the Odnoklassniki.ru social network, dedicated to the Outraged Belarusians’ March 2.0, which is to start at 2 p.m. on October 21 in the Kastrychnitskaya Square in Minsk.

Dzianis Sakalouski: I am from Hrodna! I will surely come, and I won’t be alone. There are many people who disagree in our city, but the truth is, those who are not afraid to protest are not so large in number. That is why, the most important thing here is not to chicken! And there will be not 100 of us.

Alena Shatsila: The authorities, apparently, are pretty much afraid of the outraged people. Enough tolerating and fearing, time to start respecting ourselves.

Andrei Sviatlou: There will be many more people who disagree in the square. The people are losing their jobs. The government is cheating people with fake salaries, humiliating them with the constantly growing prices. The summer season is over. They made half of the country social parasites. He wants to employ everyone and pay them chickenfeed. There’s no more even this chickenfeed though. What will he pay for this hell of a slave labour?

Mikalai Matusevich: The people will come to protest, even pensioners and women. Anger and rage are escalating, and other people will come to your place. You can peacefully stay at home and cook soup for your son, this will change nothing in the end.

Piotr Hlinski: If you don’t like something in the current authorities, this makes you an opposition. We all are opposition and this is our right, we should be the decisive authority in the country, we must believe in this and put a dot in this question. Together we are law and power. The laws are for the people, not against the people in favour of some chosen hell-raisers.

Anatol Miadzvedzki: It’s worth to follow those people who are not afraid to organize such marches! Those who really stand for changes, not in the kitchen or on the internet. It can be quite good on the internet as well. But it’s better in the Square. And if you do not like the current leaders of the opposition, this does not mean that you should not actively oppose the current government. The issue of new leaders can be solved in the following way: during the mass popular demonstrations, new people will appear who are able to lead and replace existing ones or stand next to them. And the right choice is yours. And we need to say "thank you" to the current leaders for what they already did, for not sitting in their holes, like some other oppositionists! They stand for normal, democratic elections of power, and not for seizing it.

Yauhen Zoryn: Finally, at least some agitation began. I am sure that gathering the necessary number of people is not a problem. After all, only being united we can achieve changes.

Sasha Aliakseyeu: If the organizers decided to hold an action, they should take it as seriously as possible. More agitation (leaflets in each mailbox, stickers and graffiti throughout the city). A clear explanation of what we want from this action, from the authorities, why we should go to the Square. On the day X, before proceeding to the action, wait until everyone is gathered into the Square, and not leave in 10 minutes. Act more resolutely, more radically, do not be afraid! Then it will bring effect.

Aliaksandr Dzemianchuk: If we took all who leave overseas to work, the authorities here would have changed in a day.
