A massive missile-nuclear strike was played out at the last stage of the maneuvers.

It was reported by the press service of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine with reference to the words of NSDC Secretary Alexander Turchinov.

According to him, 6 long-range Tu-95MS and Tu-22M3 long-distance aircraft were used to play out a nuclear missile strike, they carried out flights over the Barents, Baltic and Norwegian seas.

Turchinov also reported on the missile forces that carried out a training and combat launch of the intercontinental ballistic missile RS-24 Yars from the Plesetsk launch site in Arkhangelsk region, which hit the targets at the Kura test range on the Kamchatka peninsula.

"The strategic missile submarine Dmitry Donskoy of the Northern Fleet of the Russian Federation carried out an electronic launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile of sea basing," – he added.

In addition, according to the NSDC secretary, missile firings at sea targets in the waters of the Laptev Sea and the Barents Sea were carried out.

As he said, such actions by the Russian armed forces testified about Russia's readiness to escalate tension with the West up to kindling a full-scale war.

"After completing the combat training tasks of the West-2017, the departure of personnel, military equipment and weapons from the ranges located on the territory of Belarus is scheduled for September 21," – Turchinov said.

According to him, Ukraine, along with partner countries, will closely monitor the withdrawal of Russian troops from Belarus and their return to permanent home stations.

As it was reported earlier, the Minister of Defense of Poland Anthony Matserevich warned that during the West-2017 exercises, the use of nuclear weapons would be practiced.
