17-Year-Old Waiter Stabbed Tourist From Belarus In Turkey

A quarrel in the bar near the pool turned into a knife fight.

The tragedy occurred in the Turkish town of Turunch near the famous resort of Marmaris in the evening of Saturday, September 23. According to the Turkish portal milliyet.com, 28-year-old Brest resident Viktar Haladzko together with his wife and son settled into a three-star hotel Calypso on September 19. The family intended to spend a week at the resort.

On Saturday in the evening, Viktar started an argument with a waiter in the bar near the pool. Apparently, the Belarusian wanted to drink more alcohol, while the waiter claimed that the bar was already closed. As a result, the argument turned into a fight, during which the waiter hit Viktar Haladzko in the liver with a knife for bread. The Belarusian died before the brigade of doctors arrived at the scene.

The 17-year-old waiter was detained by the police, the investigation is still ongoing.
