Vorsha Dwellers Organized Concert In Support Of Political Prisoners

Bard Andrei Melnikau spoke to the activists.

Vorsha and Minsk dwellers, who are not indifferent to the fate of political prisoners, gathered in the Minsk office of BPF, orsha.eu reports.

As of the day of the meeting, September 22, 11 people are imprisoned for social and political activity: Mikhail Zhamchuzhny, Ihar Komlik, Aliaksei Miliukou, Aliaksandr Yurkoits, Dzmitry Palienka, Philip Ivanou, Taras Avatarau, Iryna Silnaya, Ilya Valavik, Vadzim Boika and Dzmitry Tsekhanovich. In addition to 11 people, they also recalled Mikalai Statkevich, who was detained the same day after the meeting of the Belarusian National Congress.

Participants and guests of the event got updated on the latest news about the political prisoners. Between the performances of Anna Shaputska and the native of Vorsha Pavel Seviarynets, another musician from Vorsha Andrei Melnikov and Minsker Yulia Fralova supported the political prisoners with their music.

Despite the fact that the event was held by candlelight, since the office of the BPF Party has arrears for rent, due to which the lights were off, still letters and cards for political prisoners were written, as well as an appeal to the leadership of the penitentiary system of the country, demanding to stop the pressure on prisoners by the tools and means of the criminal world.
