White-Red-White Flags Hung In Vorsha On Belarusian Military Glory Day

National flags appeared in different places of Vorsha this morning.

Today, quite a lot of events devoted to the Battle of Vorsha take place in the country and abroad, the website orsha.eu reports. Events in Minsk, where except for cultural and historical events, the Warning Action announced by the Belarusian National Congress will be held, will be in the limelight.

There was no preliminary information about any events in Vorsha in the public space, but it is obvious that the celebrations will take place in Vorsha as well.

After 2006, the authorities prevent the celebration in the Krapivenskoye field in every possible way (the exception was made last year, when several people were not prevented from setting up a tent camp at the traditional place of celebration for the first time in many years), so the Vorsha events are not announced in advance. Already on the morning of September 8, Vorsha dwellers could see white-red-white flags appearing in different parts of Orsha, including near the bridge across the Dnieper.

At Krapivenskoye field itself, the celebration will be quite improvisational today: people keep coming to Hatskaushchyna for the second day in a row to lay flowers, pray, read poems, etc.

We remind that the Warning Action against the military exercises West-2017 will be held in Minsk on the occasion of the Belarusian Military Glory Day. The action will begin today at 19.00 on Kastrychnitskaya Square in Minsk.
