Andrei Bialiauski intends to appeal against the sentence in Minsk City Court.

January 12, the Leninsky district court of Minsk delivered the sentence on the case of the Minsk artist and designer Andrei Bialiauski, who was tried for storing one cartridge, spring96.org reported.

Judge Maryna Zapasnik announced: to admit Andrei Bialiauski, the former person involved in the preparation of the mass riots, guilty under Part 2 of Art. 295 of the Criminal Code (Illegal manufacture, acquisition, sale, storage, transportation, transfer or carrying of firearms, ammunition, explosives) and to impose a penalty in the form of restriction of freedom for a period of 1 year without placing him into an open type correctional facility.

The prosecuting attorney Aliaksei Kisliak demanded such a penalty at the yesterday's meeting.

Andrei Bialiauski fully admitted his guilt in the storage of ammunition – a cartridge from the Kalashnikov assault rifle, and in his last word stated that he realized his actions and repented.

Andrei Bialiauski intends to appeal against the sentence in Minsk City Court.

We remind, that Andrei Bialiauski was arrested on March 21 and charged under part 3 of Art. 293 of the Criminal Code – Training and preparation of people for participation in mass riots, and under Art. 287 of the Criminal Code – Establishment of an illegal armed formation. He was released from the KGB jail on June 2 with a written undertaking not to leave the city, while the case under art. 287 of the Criminal Code was terminated. During the search immediately after his arrest, a serviceable cartridge was found in his apartment.

On December 12, the Investigative Committee charged the young man under part 2 of Art. 295 of the Criminal Code of Belarus
