An 18-meter vehicle powered by electricity is being refueled next to ordinary cars.

Last week, social networks users were discussing the Belarusian electric bus seen at a usual petrol station opposite the Beijing hotel in Minsk, Euroradio reports.

The photo shows how the 18-meter vehicle, which, in theory, is powered by electricity, is being refueled next to ordinary cars. Internet users have suggested that its heating works on diesel fuel.

As the journalists have learned, they are right!

"Diesel heaters are used to heat the salon in an electric bus, therefore Minstrans takes electric buses to refueling," – Deputy Chief Designer Siarhei Chystou says.

According to Chystou, diesel heaters are more efficient than electric heaters from the economic and technical point of view.

There is a standard heating system of the cabin in an electric bus: the cabin has two 15 liter tanks to maintain heat.
