Freedom House: Belarus Is Still On List Of Not Free Countries

The international human rights organization has published a rating of freedom in the world in 2018.

The international human rights organization Freedom House published a report that estimated the degree of civil and political freedoms in 195 countries.

Human rights defenders came to the conclusion that in the last 12 years the level of freedom in the world has been falling, democracy is experiencing a serious crisis. Decline in civil and personal freedoms is noted in 71 countries of the world, only 35 countries can brag of an increase in the level of freedom.

According to the Freedom House researchers, Belarus remained in the group of countries that are not free along with China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Egypt and 11 more countries. While Ukraine is in the group of partially free countries, which includes 28 states, including Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Mexico, Brazil, India, Indonesia, South Korea and others.

The Freedom House researchers consider 16 countries of the world to be free. The USA, Canada, Argentina, Great Britain, France, Germany, Estonia, Georgia, South Africa, Australia, Japan are among them.
