Sviatlahorsk Residents Launched Flashmob To Fight Harmful Enterprise

It’s no secret for Sviatlahorsk residents that a specific smell, emitted by the new production at the cellulose and cardboard combine, appear in the city with an enviable periodicity, gomel.today writes.

Residents of Yakimava Slabada and Sviatlahorsk have repeatedly expressed their discontent about it. Fortunately, enterprise director Yury Kruk promised that the smell will have disappeared by February:

"A lot of Russian plants of this type do not even have recovery boilers that would eliminate these foul-smelling substances. But nevertheless, the factories do work there."

I promise Sviatlahorsk and region inhabitants that the smell will disappear not later than the end of January. However, the first month of the year has not ended yet and the smell, unfortunately, is there, too. The citizens are so tired of breathing "bad-smelling" air that they have created a hashtag in social networks – #малярысветлогорска. Usually it is accompanied by a photograph with a person in a respirator.
