Natallia Radzina: Lukashenka Fears To Lose Minsk Site For Donbas Talks
NATALLIA RADZINA

The dictator is not interested in transferring the talks on the Donbas conflict settlement from Minsk to Kazakhstan.

Editor-in-Chief of the website Charter97.org Natallia Radzina said this in a comment for Gordon.

“The Belarusian authorities are seriously concerned as the dictatorship in Belarus uses the negotiations site for own legalization in the West. It’s absolutely obvious that Lukashenka is taking advantage of the war in Ukraine, both politically and economically. In particular, I am talking about smuggling, which went from West to Russia, from Ukraine to Russia and in the opposite direction, about the shipment of oil products made of the Russian oil to Ukraine. We see, Lukashenka only beefits from the war in Ukraine. Before this, he was considered a dictator that no one would shake hands with in the West. However, due to the fact that European leaders started coming to the Donbas talks, he broke the international isolation,” – Natallia Radzina noted.

She believes that Kazakhstan would not make a better negotiations site than Belarus.

“If the Donbas negotiations site is transferred away from Minsk, Europe will pay more attention to the human rights violations in Belarus. That is why Lukashenka is scared and nervous. He doesn’t want to become an international outcast again, which he in fact never ceased to be. This is a banal jealousy to Nazarbayev (President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev – edit.) At the same time, I don’t think that Kazakhstan will make a better Donbas talks site than Belarus. It’s the same dictatorship out there. Geveva would be the best negotiations ground,” – Natallia Radzina underlined.

Today, head of the White House Donald Trump invited president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev to transfer the site for the talks on the settlement of the conflict in the Donbas away from Minsk.
