The Police Commented on Automobile-Pedestrian Accident in Salihorsk

On December 29 Salihorsk dweller was hit by a patrol car.

It will be recalled that the accident happened on December 29. At 7.50 a woman was hit at the pedestrian crossing on Lenina Street, Salihorsk.

Official representative of the Interior Ministry of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee Jauhen Sachek commented on the fact of the accident, tut.by writes.

- According to preliminary data, the car accident happened through the fault of 43-year old traffic police officer, we do not deny this fact. He violated traffic rules. The degree of his guilt will be determined after the forensic medical examination. The decree of his guilt will also depend on injuries inflicted on the victim. The provisional diagnosis is bruises, alcohol intoxication. But I stress that the degree of the traffic police officer's guilt will not depend on the victim's state.

Jauhen Sachek stressed that all procedures were executed right after the accident. The victim was taken to hospital; the Salihorsk Police Department was immediately informed about the accident. The case is being investigated.
