Defenders of Kurapaty have served 115 days of arrest in total.

Since June 1, when the watch of protest against the Let’s Go Get Some Eats restaurant, which is in the guard zone of the memorial to the victims of Stalinist repressions in the Kuropaty forest tract, began, its participants have served 115 days of administrative arrest. The total amount of fines is more than 20 thousand rubles.

Radio Svaboda has been told about this by the co-chairman of the Belarusian Christian Democracy, one of the leaders of the picketing in Kurapaty, Pavel Seviarynets.

According to Seviarynets, the picketing of the Let’s Go Get Some Eats restaurant may continue after autumn Dziady.

“The watches have stabilized and are being held regularly, from 3 to 10 people take part in them daily. The mood among people is such that they are ready to stand not only until Dziady, but until the victory – the closing of the restaurant,” – Pavel Seviarynets told reporters.

The restaurant is almost empty – 9 visits per day

A journalist from Hrodna, Dzianis Ivashyn, has presented the results of his research on visiting this institution.

“For 130 days of observation, there were 618 visiting cars, of which 380 were customers' cars. From this figure it follows that they have only 9 visits per day. This means that the boycott campaign is effective, since the restaurant has 200 seats plus there are also guest houses. And all this is actually empty.”
