Report For Repost Drawn Up Against Hrodna Musician Ales Dzianisau

The musician has not received a summons yet.

The Hrodna police have opened an administrative case against famous musician and journalist Ales Dzianisau, Belsat reports.

The other day, he received a copy of the protocol, from which it follows that the musician violated Part 2 of Art. 17.11 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Belarus (production or distribution, as well as storage for the purpose of distributing extremist materials, if these actions do not contain component elements of a crime).

The reason for the administrative case is the fact that Dzianisau has made a repost from the anarchists’ page on the Vkontakte social network. Now the page, from which Ales Dzianisau has made the repost, is blocked, and it is impossible to verify the fact of the repost. Ales Dzianisau has not received a summons yet.

Previously, an unknown person called the musician’s home number, introduced himself as a policeman, and reported on a criminal case that had allegedly been initiated for the repost.

“I regard such actions of the law enforcement officer as a way to exert psychological pressure on me, my family, to deprive me and my close people of peace in order to hinder my cultural activities as a musician of the DZIECIUKI group,” – Ales Dzianisau says.
