Border Guards Took Alarm Because Of Book By Zianon Pazniak

Activist Natallia Samatyja was detained at the Belarusian-Ukrainian border.

Social activist Natallia Samatyja has reported on Facebook that she was detained at the Belarusian-Ukrainian border because of the book by Zianon Pazniak.

It happened in the last days of September. The activist claims that the detention was very unpleasant:

“I was detained in broad daylight. The follow-up hours in the police department. The night. No phone. And my friends were looking for me. Thousands of protocols were drawn up.” – the activist wrote.

We remind that this is not the first time when border guards confiscate books by Zianon Pazniak from activists. On September 23, at the Novaya Huta border crossing point, customs officers seized the book “Hard time” (part 2) from activist Viktar Kulak.
