It’s time for the Belarusian authorities to get off the Russian oil and gas needle and tackle high-tech areas, Leanid Zaika, an economist and the Strategy analytical center head, believes, Radio Racyja reports.
“Whatever Lukashenka would like, his new prime minister Rumas and other ministers are powerless against scientific and technological progress,” – the expert said in an interview to Charter-97.
In his opinion, electric cars will replace ordinary cars, and petrol will no longer be fuel. “We need to move forward, think long-term,” Leanid Zaika added.
