22-Year-Old Passenger Attacked Ticket Inspector In Bus In Baranavichy

The fare evader tried to make his way to escape.

On October 21, at about 16.40, a passenger of the bus No. 6 attacked a ticket inspector, Nash Krai reports.

The ticket inspector was checking the fare in public transport.

– The bus was at the Chyrvonaarmeiskaya Street stop, when a young guy who was traveling without a ticket, in response to a demand to present a travel document or pay the fine, hit the ticket inspector in the stomach, and then, trying to escape, put out the thumb on his left hand, – Baranavichyhortrans director Andrei Tarasiuk informed.

And yet the fare evader didn’t escape the punishment: the police officers who came to the ticket inspector’s call detained the offender. He was a 22-year-old local resident.

According to the incident, the Baranavichy inter-district department of the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 366 of the Criminal Code (Violence or threat against an official who performs official duties).
