State Debt Of Belarus Grows By $1,2 Billion

The national debt of Belarus increased by 5.7% compared to the beginning of 2018.

The state debt of Belarus increased compared to the beginning of 2018 by BYN 2.4 billion ($ 1.2 billion), or 5.7%. As of October 1, it amounted to BYN 44.6 billion.

This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Finance of the country, the BDG informs.

According to the agency, the external public debt amounted to $ 16.5 billion.

In January-September, Belarus attracted state loans in the amount of $ 1,718.4 million. Of these, $ 668.7 million came from the government and banks of Russia. $ 600 million - Eurobonds, $ 325.9 million - Chinese banks, $ 119.8 million - IBRD, $ 4 million - EBRD and NIB.

Since the beginning of the year, the country has repaid 1,763.4 million of external debt. Of these, $ 800 million went to Eurobonds, $ 341.4 million went to the Chinese banks, $ 306, 8 million - to the Russian government, $ 264.8 million - to the EFSD, $ 48.7 million - to the MBRD, $ 1 million - to the EBRD and SIB, 0.7 million - to the Commodity Credit Corporation of the USA.

Domestic debt amounted to BYN 9.6 billion, having increased from the beginning of the year to BYN 456.2 million (taking into account exchange differences), or 5.0%.
