Day Of Remembrance Of Kalinouski Insurgents In Svislach Assessed For 35 Base Fees

The court fined two participants in the traditional memorial action.

The results of the first administrative trials against the participants of the traditional Day of Remembrance of 1863, which took place on October 27 in Svislach and Yakushauka, have been reported, the Hrodna Spring reports.

On November 15, Chair of the Svislach district court Aliaksandr Shylin fined public activist Yury Hlebik for 25 base fees under Part 1 of Article 23.34. On November 16, he fined another public activist, Viktar Piatselchyts, for 10 base fees.

Chair of the Svislach district court Aliaksandr Shylin has a wide experience in punitive rulings — previously, in 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2016, he already tried civil activists, sentenced them to administrative arrests and fines for participating in the traditional Insurgents’ Remembrance Day.

The dates of the trials in relation to Hrodna human rights defenders and public activists are still unknown. Viktar Sazonau, Uladzimir Khilmanovich and Jerzy Grigencha have already studied the protocols on administrative offenses drawn up against them. Similar protocols were also drawn up for Mikalai Saliamik, Siarhei Verameyenka and Ihar Bantsar.
