Bitcoins For Several Million Dollars Found On Accounts Of Belarusian Carder

The guy is accused of stealing the details of bank cards of foreigners.

Law enforcement officers found 1,2 thousand bitcoins on the accounts of the Belarusian cybercriminal. Vadzim Ustsinovich, the head of the department for the detection of crimes in the sphere of high technologies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, told in an interview to the departmental newspaper of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, On Guard, BelTA informs.

“A record amount, which has become state property, was confiscated from the guy who stole the details of foreigners' bank cards, – Vadzim Ustsinovich noted. – The Belarusian brokered illegal transactions. 1,200 bitcoins were found on his accounts. A criminal case was recently initiated against another carder, who received access to 152 accounts of one of the payment systems and stole $ 630 thousand.”

This amount of cryptocurrency costs about $ 4.8 million – the bitcoin rate today is about $ 4 thousand, but it is quite unstable: in December 2017, the rate reached its maximum level of about $ 20 thousand per bitcoin, and in January 2018 the cost was about $ 11 thousand.
