Planes Cannot Land At Minsk Airport Because Of Fog

Flights from Russia and Ukraine are delayed.

Due to weather conditions, the arrival of several flights is delayed, mainly from Russia and Ukraine. This is reported on the electronic boards of the Minsk National Airport, tut.by reports.

According to the online boards, nearly a dozen flights are delayed from Zaporizhia, Moscow (Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo, Vnukovo and Zhukovsky airports), Kaliningrad, Kiev and St. Petersburg. There is also a delay for flights from Vilnius and Istanbul.

The expected arrival time is from 12.20 to 15.00. Today, there is a thick fog in Minsk, and it has been confirmed at the airport that it caused a delay in the arrival of several flights.

“Five flights were delayed due to obstructions to vision, another part – for reasons related to the airlines. There have been mostly delays for arrivals. Let me remind you that the decision on whether to land the aircraft at the Minsk airport or not is made by the aircraft crew,” – Ramina Samatkhanova, the press secretary of the Minsk National Airport, said.
