Worker From Sianno: Why Do I Have To Earn Abroad At My 50?

How the situation with jobs in the regions really look.

As a rule, the authorities stop ingnoring the problems of the ordinary people only after they are covered by the media, Belsat reports. This is the way it happened now - only after the publicity in the independent media outlets, they started paying the workers of the Sianno housing and communal services began not 70, but 700 rubles of salary.

In August, the direct earnings of employees of the Sianno housing and communal services, located in the Vitsebsk region, did not exceed 70 rubles. The contributions to the pension fund were correspondingly low.

Workers were ready to strike. At first, the leadership only shrugged, like, you are paid the same way you work. However, immediately after the media coverage, the regional bureaucracy suddenly began to stir - wages were raised! True, minor problems still remain.

“The dust settled, everyone has forgotten about their duties. We have work to do, houses stand unfinished. However, there are no materials - the suppliers do not fulfill their duties. It’s been three months now, the summer ended, and the work has not been done. Now it seems to the residents that we are to blame for this,” says Leanid Darheika, a carpenter at the Sianno housing and communal services.

Another resident of Sianno Uladzimir Voukau turned out to owe something to the state! before the authorities. Despite the fact that most of his life he worked hard, he was listed as a “parasite”.

“Everyone here “lives very well ”, but the life somehow does not improve. I at my 50 years of age want to live in peace at home, but somehow it happens that I rarely stay there. I always have to go somewhere, earn money abroad,” says Uladzimir Voukau, a resident of Sianno.

However, here the media have to pass the baton to the authorities. Maybe they will help?

“In Sianno, half of the population remains unemployed! Not a single “deputy” came, asked where you work, what you live with. And I finish the last piece of bread - there is not even salt to sprinkle! ” adds Uladzimir Voukau.

And for the desire to give the floor to every journalist - it gets punished. This year alone, journalists who collaborate with Belsat have received almost $ 40,000 of fines in the equivalent! Pressure and persecution do not cease. But the work does not stop either.
