Lukashenka Offered Military To Make Their Own Huge Money

The dictator urged to take an example from the army of Pakistan.

At a meeting with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of the Armed Forces of Pakistan Zubair Mahmud Hayat, Aliaksandr Lukashenka made a curious compliment to the guest: – The army in Pakistan is more than just an army. You have a tremendous economic and social load. Our army could learn from you how to work, make money and use money to build huge enterprises. What is wrong with this statement? To begin with, the law “On the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus” clearly describes the army’s purpose, regarding the Armed Forces as “a structural component of the state’s military organization designed to ensure military security and armed defense of the Republic of Belarus, its sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity and constitutional order.” There is not a word about making money in the article of law on the Armed Forces about their tasks in peacetime and wartime.

And even if the head of state is annoyed by the fact that the Belarusian army is somewhat far from the Pakistani army, he should remember an obvious fact: he has been the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces for the past decades. It is he who appoints the top army leadership. And bears full responsibility for what is happening in the army.
