Zinaida Mikhniuk, a representative of the REP trade union in the Brest region, commented upon the mass interrogations which the members of the democratic trade union were subjected to in the last few days:

- Good morning, friends! I really feel like shouting “I am an fortress, leading a fight!” The investigative bodies interrogated over 50 members of the REP trade union in the Brest region for the last few days. The Mikashevichy trade union branch enters the fight today. This is how the authorities put pressure on the people, interfering in the trade union’s affairs. I know no one betrayed or chickened! We believe, we can, we shall win!
