Taxi Drivers’ Strike Held In Minsk

Up to 60 cars of the drivers taking part in the strike drove to Chyzhouka Arena. And all the time the new cars are driving up. The reason for the strike is that the service raised the tariffs for passengers and the fixed fee for each order from drivers. And then reduced the cost of travel for customers, but continues to take the same amount, 1.3 rubles per order, from the taxi drivers. The drivers are indignant that they have to work 14-16 hours every day without a weekend, but even with such a schedule, the earnings for a month are sometimes less than 1000 rubles.

After a 40-minute discussion, the drivers drew up a collective letter to the management and appointed ten people to hand over the appeal afterwards.

The taxi drivers say that if they are ignored, they would continue the strike.

In an hour after the beginning of the meeting, police officers arrived to Chyzhouka Arena. They asked what happened and took the numbers of all the strikers.
