Number Of Workers Belarusian Enterprises Lost For Five Years

Belarusian enterprises hammer out "parasites".

In 2017, the headcount of employees of organizations amounted to 2 million 985.4 thousand people. This is 63.7 thousand less than in 2016. We note that at least since 2012, the number of employees has fallen below the level of 3 million people. The statistics did not take into account micro-organizations and small organizations without departmental subordination, tut.by writes.

As a comparison: in 2015, the headcount of employees was 3 million 149.7 thousand people, in 2014 – 3 million 223.9 thousand, in 2013 – 3 million 302.3 thousand, in 2012 – 3 million 369.8 thousand. It turns out that since 2012, the headcount of employees has decreased by 384.4 thousand people.

In 2017, the number of employees increased only in such areas as health and social services (+3.2 thousand – up to 310.4 thousand) and creativity, sports, entertainment and recreation (+0.3 thousand – up to 71.6 thousand).

For example, the industry lost 15.5 thousand in 2017, the construction – 15.2 thousand.

Last year, the number of workers reduced by 24.5 thousand in state organizations (up to 1 million 542.1 thousand), and by 50.6 thousand (up to 1 million 326.6 thousand people) – in private ones.

In 2017, the number of employees increased only in foreign organizations – from 105.3 to 116.7 thousand people.
