Tax Inspectors Urge To Rat Out Friends Who Live 'Life They Cannot Afford'

Earlier, the tax authorities asked Belarusians to report about illegal taxi drivers.

The tax authorities are launching a campaign called "Pay Taxes - Work Honestly" in Minsk on March 19 to 23. In the framework of this campaign it is offered to inform on relatives and friends who live "the life they cannot afford", tut.by writes. However, they do not promise to provide any material (or spiritual) reward for such denunciations.

By the way, earlier the tax authorities asked Belarusians to disclose the identity of those who illegally rent apartments and garages, as well as to report about illegal taxi drivers.

We remind, am automatized system is used in the work of the tax authorities, that constantly monitors our expenditures. For example, the database contains information about the salary at the main place of work, money transfers received from overseas, and now they will also add the information about the loan and purchase of foreign currency. In addition, expensive purchases of the citizens are also visible for the officials: apartments, houses, vehicles, garages. Unfortunately, the system does not report whether they see other officials' purchases or the system has privacy settings.
