Authorities continue persecution of independent journalists.

This time, the journalist is charged under Article 22.9 of the Code of Administrative Offenses ("violation of media legislation") for the footage of the protests of residents against urban densification in the barrier-free environment for visually impaired people in Yakubovskogo Street, the website of the Belsat TV channel reported.

"I will go to the hearing, but this is just an opportunity to remind of the problem on Yakubovsky Street again," – Volha Chaichyts says.

Also, the Borovliany police office called the freelancer and informed her that they drew a protocol against her and the operator Andrei Kozel for shooting at polling stations during the early voting. The journalist notes that they only shot there, they did not make any stiry.

This is the fourth Volha's lawsuit in in the first three months of 2018 [Andrei had three trials, one of which was for "disobeying the police" (the operator was beaten) at the polling station]. In March, they were fined with more than 1,700 rubles for two by the Dzerzhinsky District Court.

This year, freelancers were punished with penalties of 200 base units (4,900 rubles). Over the past year, the working tandem was charged with 8556 rubles for cooperation with Belsat.
