Brest Dweller: Freedom Day To Be Celebrated Same Way As Independence Day

– March 25 is the Freedom Day. Of course, I know what it's about! The proclamation of the Belarusian People's Republic. This is a great event in the history of our nation, a self-identity indicator. This holiday should be national, this day would be worth making the Independence Day. Everyone should know about this date. In general, attention should be paid to creating a grid of dates that are key to making us feel a part of the nation. Today, many people know when the Second World War began, but they have no idea about other historical milestones, which are much older and more valuable than it is commonly believed.

We should celebrate, rejoice, be proud of our ancestors and ourselves, hold worthy events, shoot and broadcast educational programs on the major TV channels, hold conferences and debates, and in general raise the level of public events, paying more attention to intellectual, spiritual and aesthetic components rather than to barbecue, beer and chanson.
