Video Fact: Minsk Plant Teaches Communal Robot To Clean Snow

Belarusian specialists plan to upgrade the Italian elaboration.

At the plant "Optron", dev.by journalists were shown a robot, which will soon be equipped with the essentials for cleaning streets and working in agriculture.

So far, the robot sports in the snow and pulls the vehicle trailer, demonstrating its abilities, but by the summer it will be taught to clean the snow and to be useful in other ways. Belarusian specialists plan to upgrade the Italian elaboration.

No orders from housing and communal services so far

They do not plan to use the robot in the housing and utilities sector: there have been no relevant orders from the ministry. However, by the end of the year it is planned to sell about 5-10 robots. The invention is offered for use at private plots or at private enterprises.

The robot is promised to be safe for people and animals.

- It can be equipped with cameras and it will even recognize the owner in person, the question is only in the cost of this technology. Thanks to the sensors, the robot will be safe, it will be designed so that the machine can not cause injury to a person, an animal or itself. Until the robot is safe for my dog, we will not start production, - jokes the director of L7.
