State Employees’ Salaries To Be Increased Due To Layoffs

The salary rise will occur due to "optimization of the number of employees".

The government of Belarus has established multiplying factors to the tariff rate of budgetary organizations’ employees by its resolution N295, interfax.by writes.

According to the document, the multiplying factor to the tariff rate for calculating the wages of employees of budget organizations are established at the expense of the republican and local budget funds, available as a result of the measures to optimize the structure and number of employees of budget organizations and saving of the budget funds, provided for the functioning of budget organizations, following the budget cost estimate.

The resolution states that the multiplying factor is applied to the calculated rate of the budget organization employee in accordance with the established procedure to determine the amount of additional increase in his wages.

"At the same time, the size of the additional increase, calculated with the use of the multiplying factor, does not participate in the formation of the tariff rate, does not develop an increase forming the employee's rate, and is not taken into account when calculating premiums, additional charges and bonuses," – the document says.

In addition, the document establishes the procedure for budgetary savings. The multiplying factors for the calculation of wages in budget organizations are set for the next quarter within the limits of budgetary savings. The specific sizes of multiplying factors are established by employees of heads of budgetary organizations and other organizations.

This decision comes into force after its official publication.
