Exhibition To Honor Belarusian Heroes Of ATO In Lviv

By their works, the artists want to convey the reality of the Ukrainian-Russian war.

Minsker, fighter of the tactical group Belarus Yan Melnikau, who fights on the Ukrainian side, has written on Facebook about this:

– We can proudly announce the opening of the 17th exhibition "Belarusians with Ukraine in the Heart". These are the works of Belarusian and Ukrainian artists, which were made during an open-air on the forefront positions, which we, the fighters of the tactical group Belarus, were holding together with the Ukrainian brothers in the village of Peski and its environs.

The language of art conveys those emotions, experiences, the atmosphere of fighters’ life, which cannot be conveyed either by a word, or by camera lens! Thanks to the artists' brushes, today we are able to convey to the people, who are far from the demarcation line, the reality of the Ukrainian-Russian war and to perpetuate in the pages of history the exploit of heroes, who sacrifice lives for your and our freedom!

42 works of artists are presented to your attention in the Palace of Arts, located at the address: Lviv, 17 Kopernik Street. The exposition will be open until 12/04/2018.

We remind that the art exhibition "Belarusians with Ukraine in the Heart" consists of more than four dozen paintings.

The Belarusian side is represented by the works of Hennadz Drazdou, Ales Pushkin, Ales Susha, Andrei Takindanh and Ales Tsyrkunou.

Donetsk artist Taras Nosar has joined the project from the Ukrainian side. Part of the paintings were created after the artists left for the war zone in 2015. Fighters from the tactical group Belarus, who had taken part in the defense of Ukrainian independence in the Donbass, were among the organizers of the trip.
