Conscript Soldier Dies During Exercises In Minsk

- On April 4, during the planned exercises on fire training in the fire camp of 120 separate mechanized brigades, the conscript servicemen, who were part of the crew of the infantry fighting vehicle, violated security measures when operating combat vehicles. As a result, one of the crew members, the senior mechanic-driver of the armored vehicle, private Dzmitry Udod received a gunshot wound incompatible with life, the website of the Ministry of Defense reports.

Now the Investigatory Committee is establishing the reasons for the death of the private. The commission for the investigation of the circumstances and causes of the incident from the military department is headed by the Deputy Minister of Defense.

The Ministry of Defense expresses deep condolences to Dzmitry's family and friends and will provide them with all-round support and necessary assistance.
