Lukashenka Appointed New Ambassadors And Rectors Of Universities

The dictator has conducted personnel reshuffles.

On May 22, Lukashenka considered personnel issues, BelTA informs.

The governor appointed former Foreign Ministry spokesman Dzmitry Mironchyk – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Kingdom of Sweden.

Aliaksandr Lukashevich is appointed to the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Bulgaria and in Greece and the Republic of Cyprus on a part-time basis.

Lukashevich was deputy head of the main consular department of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.

Viachaslau Kachanau was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Estonia.

Kachanau was previously the head of the main information and analytical department of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.

Besides, Uladzimir Astapenka, the Ambassador of Belarus in Argentina and concurrently in Uruguay, was appointed ambassador to Chile on a part-time basis. Ambassador of Belarus in Indonesia and concurrently in Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines Valer Kalesnik will also work as a permanent representative of the Republic of Belarus to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) on a part-time basis.

Hennadz Palchyk, who served as chairman of the Higher Attestation Commission of Belarus, was appointed to the post of rector of the Academy of Management under Lukashenka.

Vadzim Bohush was appointed rector of the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics. To date, he served as the first deputy minister of education.

The dictator also agreed on the appointment of Aliaksandr Drahan as rector of the Brest State Technical University, he used to be the dean of the machine-building faculty of this university.
