Chinese Friend Xi Betrayed Lukashenka

The award from "the best friend of the Belarusian people" will, apparently, have to wait.

Lukashenka repeatedly called the chairman of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping his friend, as well as a great friend of Belarus, Salidarnasts writes.

– Xi Jinping will always be our tremendous friend, and he will come to Belarus without visas when he so desires. And , above all, his attitude towards our country and our people creates the depth of our relations. We really appreciate it, – the head of the country told Chinese journalists last May.

And here is the news from China, where Aliaksandr Lukashenka went on a visit.

On June 8, Xi Jinping announced the name of the first laureate of the new highest state award of the country – the Order of Friendship of the PRC. President of Russia Vladimir Putin, who has also started a three-day visit to China, got the award.

– President Putin is our friend, he enjoys the respect of the Chinese people, he makes a brilliant contribution to the development of China-Russia relations, to strengthening friendship between the peoples of our countries, – Kommersant quotes the Chinese leader.

In addition to these words, Xi Jinping said:

– President Putin is my best and closest friend.

The new state award will henceforth be handed over by the Chinese authorities to foreign citizens for "outstanding services contributing to China's socialist modernization, China's contacts and cooperation with the world and the maintenance of peace throughout the world."

According to Aliaksandr Lukashenka’s press service, during his working visit to China, he will take part in the events of the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, among which negotiations with the PRC chairman are planned. Only the award from "the best friend of the Belarusian people" will, apparently, have to wait.
