The poet and politician commented on the opening of the restaurant near Kuropaty.

14 days Kurapaty defenders – and these are social activists, writers and musicians – are trying not to let the restaurant "Let's Go Get Some Eats!" work. They do it by literally blocking it with their own bodies. It was built and opened 50 meters from the places of mass executions of victims of Stalinist repressions.

Uladzimir Niakliayeu commented to Radio Racyja on the political and moral consequences of the conflict for the Belarusian society, as well as on the prospects for resolving the conflict.

– I did not expect that thousands of people would come to the call to protect Kurapaty. People are concerned about completely different things – how to survive, scanty salaries, meager pensions, how to raise children, how to feed them, how to get them clothes and footwear – that's what the society is worried about. Until this power significantly changes, the cemeteries near the first ring road are not the first concern of the society. But everything here is happening not in the normal way.

It is believed that NKVD punishers shot, according to various estimates, from 30 to 250 thousand people from 1937 to 41 years of the last century in Kurapaty.
