Tatsiana Seviarynets: It’s Needed To Block The Way Of Russian Armoured Vehicles To Be Heroes Of Belarus
TATSIANA SEVIARYNETS

Why did the authorities let someone else's military column on our land?

Yesterday a column of Russian armoured vehicles bearing "ORDLO" symbols drove into Vorsha. Many were indignant that the police not only did not fine for unregistered symbols, but also cleared the way in front of the column.

Charter97.org asked coordinator of the organizing committee for the creation of the Belarusian Christian Democracy party from Vitsebsk Tatsiana Seviarynets to comment on the scandalous situation:

- You know, I have a feeling that the Belarusian authorities themselves do not know what they are doing. They clear the road in front of a column of Russian armored vehicles, and the Russians conduct reconnaissance, not in force, peacefully. They are creeping from Russia, through Belarus (Vorsha, Minsk) directly to the Polish border - to Brest.

I want to note the following aspect: millions of Belarusian taxpayers' money, the money of the motorists, who pay for the state of roads, are thrown under the wheels of this armored vehicles. They are wasting the people’s money. Obviously, these vehicles are very heavy and it destroy roads.

What is the general purpose of this armoured race? Whom are they trying to impress by "shaking caterpillars"? Poland, Germany? In general, I can say that I'm already very tired, like all Belarusians, from this state-level stupidity.

Tomorrow I will go to my district executive committee and the regional executive committee. There, among other things, I will raise the question of how and why the authorities allow those columns of Russian armored vehicles wander about in the Vitsebsk region. In general, I wonder how they will go back and whether they will go at all. Or will they turn the trunks of their vehicles towards the Ukrainian border? Such a fear exists.

You know, I'm not a military person, not a tactician and not a strategist in this field. I am speaking now as a person who cares about what is happening in my native Belarus. I'm outraged and do not know where to run. I can say that once these people came to our land and now it’s time to drive them back. I’m so sick of all this, it’s unbearable. Emotions overwhelm me. I'm ready to do whatever it takes.

We must defend the Belarusian land! If someone blocks the way of this column, stand in a chain, then these people will become heroes of Belarus.
