Viachaslau Siuchyk: It’s God’s Wonder That Belarusians Exist

The politician told how important the historical memory of the Belarusian people is.

Representative of the Razam Solidarity Movement Viachaslau Siuchyk answered the question of Radio Racyja why their organization is conducting a number of actions honoring famous Belarusians. The politician regards this as an important factor in restoring the historical memory of the Belarusian nation and educating patriotism:

- Actions to restore historical memory must be carried out in every place. Due to some reason, someone missed out that there are dozens of places like Kurapaty. Someone calls the figure 70. Ladies and gentlemen, each NKVD prison had its own Kurapaty in the actual fact.

Near each major city of Belarus. There are a lot of places where the NKVD shot people. There are hundreds such places in Belarus. The same applies to Nazi crimes. The same applies to other periods, very important ones.

It's God's wonder that after what they did with our nation in the 20th century, the Belarusians still exist.

Viachaslau Siuchyk believes that Belarusians need to defend Kurapaty and find information about other places of mass executions in our country.
