Law Enforcement Officers Arrest Chief Doctor Of Minsk Regional Hospital

More arrests in the health sector.

Last week, the chief doctor of the Minsk Regional Clinical Hospital was detained, tut.by reports.

"The chief doctor of the Minsk Regional Clinical Hospital was detained for exceeding his official powers. He was detained on Wednesday, taken away in handcuffs. There is no official information so far," – a MRCH source informed the reporters.

The detention was confirmed by another journalists’ interlocutor from the health care system.

When asked about the chief doctor’s detention, the Investigative Committee responded that they "do not have information on this matter." The KGB also does not comment on this information.

Nevertheless, the chief doctor of the Minsk Regional Clinical Hospital hasn’t been at work since last week.

"We have no official information. For information, please, address the administration," – acting chief doctor Alena Indziukova said.

We remind that a week ago, the media reported the detention of the director of the Center for Expertise and Testing in Health Care under the Ministry of Health, Aliaksandr Staliarou, for creating certain suppliers attractive terms when supplying imported medical equipment to public hospitals and polyclinics.

Later, information about the detention of colonel Aliaksei Yaskou, chief of the military medical administration of the Ministry of Defense, appeared.

On June 19, the police informed that the chief pathologist of the Ministry of Health, the head of the city clinical pathoanatomical bureau of Minsk, was detained when taking a bribe. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the chief pathologist of the Ministry of Health took bribes from a representative of the commercial structure for the favorable resolution of questions on concluding contracts to supply ritual goods to a store located on the territory of the organization and timely payment for the delivered goods. The alleged amount of bribes is not less than 200 thousand dollars.
