What Lukashenka Is So Afraid Of?

Apparently, the dictator's business is not encouraging.

What is a reason for such a scandalous "health workers' case" right now and what Lukashenka is so afraid of by initiation large-scale "anti-corruption schemes"? These questions of primus.by are addressed to the head of the Strategy analytical center, economist Leanid Zaika:

- Lukashenka, believe it or not, is ashamed of, as he said, such "rags". Every official in a district feels like small copy of Lukashenka. And he being a conscientious man, he can't afford for other 118 "Lukashenka" to rob the country. He wants to be unique by the nature.

The corruption system starts when there is no economic freedoms and free elections.

The Historian Recalls

The specific "medical workers' case" is the trend originating from the 90s. It used to be popular then to lay the blame on the health care system, education sphere and the traffic police.

And now when it comes to shrill denunciations, there is a question arises: who will be the first to get into hot water? After all, medical workers mean history. Aliaksandr Ruhoravich is historian. And he's recalled that medical workers are "killers in whites".

Sluggishness of Brezhnev

I'm convinced that Lukashenka wanted to do things well, but the result is as usual. He has made a theoretical mistake others pay for now. The mistake is that no instruments of economic democracy, market competitiveness, open flows of information, the system of vacancy filling in various structures have been created over 25 years.

It caused sluggishness. In theory, I refer Lukashenka's model to the phenomenon of sluggishness of Brezhnev times. Lukashenka has created sluggish Belarus, and following things are common for this time: attempts of initial capital accumulation at the expense of health of working people; travesty of general picture related to money flows; "privatization" of health, energy and other spheres by officials. Medical workers are likely victims of the system.

Lukashenka Might Have Not Happened

Lukashenka has some "specific relations" with corruption. It was his first step in the political carreer in the Supreme Council. Now, 24 years later, this topic has been "catching him in the act" again. Do you know that Lukashenka might have not become the president in 1994? First, the position of the Chairman of Anti-Corruption Commission was offered to Mikhail Marynich. But he refused being aware how many enemies he would make. Lukashenka used to be a provincial director of a collective farm, and he gladly accepted the position. If Marynich had agreed, Lukashenka would have not had a chance for further career.

Kobzon in Policy

However, the other thing is worth paying attention to. It's like that: the corruption exists when the authorities are honourless. I guess it's the moment when Aliaksandr Ryhoravich's heart should sink. You've created the corrupt system, you are surrounded by corrupted people, and you are the person who appoint them. You're burning your candle at both ends.

What is the ground for this system to be created? The story is interesting - Lukashenka was afraid of facing a person better than him. He resembles of our Kobzon. He is afraid that someone will sing this song better than him. And this Kobzon has initiated sluggishness in our political symphony.

As a result, we will find ourselves either without gold and forex reserves, or will have to depreciate hard the national currency. The special term for is is default. Numerous movements of the government will promote it. The situation will augment and it will be needed to sell something. I offer to sell 12 residences of Lukashenka.
