The activist collected signatures for the resignation of the local leadership.

According to the human rights activist Raman Kisliak, the police stopped Aliaksandr Kabanau near the market in Pushkinskaya Street, where he intended to collect signatures for the resignation of the heads of the regional and city executive committees who did not respond to residents' demands to stop the construction of the battery plant, Radio Svaboda reports.

It is known that the police officers took Aliaksandr Kabanau to the Leninski District Police Department of Brest.

On June 24, opponents of the plant construction Dzmitry Bekaliuk and Aleh Yarmolenka were detained near the same market. They were found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 23.34 of the Administrative Code (violation of the procedure for organizing or holding mass events) and fined 20 base units (490 rubles) each.
