Lukashenka To Zharko: There's Bunch Of Corrupt Officials Here

The dictator demanded from the vice-premier to report on the state of affairs in the medical industry.

Lukashenka criticized Deputy Prime Minister Vasil Zharko for failing to develop the healthcare system.

"Why did not you come to me, did not you tell me, why do you have a bunch of corrupt officials here? You missed the deadline here. You missed the deadline in Homel and here," - Lukashenka said during his working trip to Vorsha district on Tuesday, interfax.by reports.

As reported, the KGB of Belarus detected a large-scale corruption scheme in the system of state purchases, namely, in the system of providing health care with medical equipment and medicines.

Some officials of the Ministry of Health, chief doctors of large hospitals, heads of state enterprises and representatives of business are the defendants in the case.

In particular, Deputy Minister of Health of Belarus Ihar Lasitski, Belfarmatsyja General Director Viachaslau Hnitsiy, Director of the Belarusian Center for Traumatology and Orthopedics Aliaksandr Bialetski (about $ 500 thousand were foundin his caches), the head physicians of several hospitals were detained for bribes.
