First Victim Of Visa-Free Travel: Englishman Debussed For Absence Of Schengen In Hrodna

The Englishman was leaving Belarus in a hurry by a taxi.

Every service tells us that ignorance is no defence, but they forget to mention that we need at least the minimum level of knowledge.

In this vein, the other day, in Hrodna, a driver of the international regular bus got into a hobble, and a foreigner suffered because of that, kp.by writes.

An English tourist came to Belarus using the so-called "visa-free", but could not leave because of ... the absence of visa. The driver of the Hrodna-Lodz bus, checking the passport, remembered that for transporting a passenger without the relevant documents across the border he faces a fine of 3000 euros. And for this reason, not having found the Schengen in the British traveler’s passport, he debussed him without hesitation.

The Englishman was left high and dry: almost at night, at the station in the Russian-speaking Hrodna, and at that the term of visa-free travel was expiring on the same day.

The foreigner had to leave the country in a hurry: to Lithuanian Druskininkai by taxi for 50 euros.
