Odessa Supports REP Trade Union

Ukrainians are shocked by the interference of the Belarusian authorities in the trade unions’ affairs.

In August, Summer Trade Union School 2018, a summer school for young members of trade unions of Ukraine and Moldova, has been held in Odessa, the praca-by.info website informs.

The Independent Trade Union of Railway Workers of Ukraine, Atomprofspilka, the National Confederation of Trade Unions of Moldova and others took part in it. The school was organized by the NGO Labor Initiatives.

Homel trade-union committee deputy chairman Andrei Stryzhak took part in one of the School’s sessions:

– I told about the Trade Union Affairs and why our organization is being pursued by the authorities. Ukrainians and Moldovans were shocked by such interference of the authorities in the trade unions’ affairs and decided to hold a solidarity campaign called "Trade Union Member Is Not a Criminal."
