Ukrainian Chaplain Visited Wounded Belarusian Volunteer In Hospital

With the onset of Russian aggression in Ukraine, Aliaksandr Malchanau joined the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Ukrainian military chaplain, priest of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate Dmitry Povorotny visited wounded Belarusian volunteer Aliaksandr Malchanau in the hospital, krynica.info writes.

"The well-disposed, smiling guy has been injured, but he is already making plans for the future," the priest wrote on Facebook.

Aliaksandr Malchanau was born in Barysau in 1988. He was a member of the youth opposition movement Zubr. In 2011, he was sentenced to three years in prison for tearing off the flag from the KGB building during the Square 2010, but was soon released.

With the onset of Russian aggression in Ukraine, he joined the UAF. In August 2018, he was wounded in battles with the separatists near Svetlodarsk.
