Owner Of Scandalous Restaurant In Kurapaty: Fireworks? It Was Not On My Territory

Leanid Zaides tried to justify himself.

On Friday, August 17, the restaurant Let's Go Get Some Eats near Kurapaty hosted a wedding. According to Dzmitry Dashkevich, there were fireworks near the tract in the evening. Tut.by learned what Leanid Zaides, one of the founders of the restaurant, thought about this. Dzmitser Dashkevich filmed a group of people dancing on the eastern part of the territory of the restaurant Let's Go Get Some Eats and the music was audible even near the crosses where Dashkevich was standing.

In the evening, Dashkevich filmed fireworks near the Kurapaty tract. In the comments people sent the activist photos of empty fireworks boxes laying near the restaurant's fence along the road. After this, a petition appeared on the Internet, which already collected over 700 signatures and which is planned to be sent to the General Prosecutor's Office. In the petition, activists demand that the inspection should take place and that the restaurant JLLC Belrestinvest was closed because of "repeated violations of the existing encumbrances specified in the response number 0703-446-2012 received from the Prosecutor General's Office on July 13, 2013."

After all, the Prosecutor General's Office informed earlier that the land plot, where the institution is located, has restrictions and encumbrances in use.

– On the east side of the restaurant, all kinds of "loud events", outdoor recreation are banned. This restriction applies to all forms of recreation in connection with the need to exclude the violation of the sacral nature of the place of historical and cultural value adjacent to the east side ща the restaurant.

Leanid Zaides: "There was no fireworks in the territory under my control"

Leanid Zaides, one of the founders of the restaurant, commented on the situation.

– Yes, there was a wedding, no one denies this. But there were no fireworks. Besides, there were only nine people at the wedding. Not a big deal. People placed a pre-order, a man came wearing a suit, a bride was in a white dress, not even in a veil. You offer me to kick them out? They had just registered a marriage. This video was filmed not on my territory. There is my territory, for which I bear responsibility. And there were no fireworks on the territory under my control.

The businessman says that he has a video record that confirms this.

Zaides explains that in his opinion an event is when a restaurant is rented out, a motorcade arrives, a bride is wearing a veil, there are witnesses, music. "But it was not this way this time, they did guessed wrong," – he stresses.

– And what happens outside my territory... Well, get it right, please... Call the police then, as I am not responsible for that territory. Well, probably, the so-called wedding took place. But it was without music, without anything, the TV set was on. There were nine people. There was no motorcade or limousines.

– Could there be fireworks, for example, near the gas station?

– Probably, this could happen. I will not deny as I wasn't there.

Zaides stressed that the encumbrances in the use of the territory relate only to its eastern side. This is the Kurapaty side.

– If I come from the other side, namely, from the entrance, then there are no encumbrances. And I can fire a fireworks there if I want. Nobody can tell me anything in this case.
