Following the court decision, one of the district executive committees will pay BYN 860 to the military unit in the Minsk region. Apparently, the district military enlistment office poorly examined a guy and sent him to the army. Two months later, the military had to demobilize the soldier, but they spent money for his alimentation. This was reported by the prosecutor’s office of the Minsk region, tut.by informs.

The prosecutor’s office started a check upon the military draft of a 20-year-old youngster, who was unfit for military service due to his health condition. However, the district military enlistment office drafted him anyway.

During the service, the conscript soldier complained about health issues. The commandship of the military unit hospitalized him for proper examination, and the commission recognized him temporarily unfit for military service at peaceful times. In the end, the private was demobilized to the reserve due to poor health condition after two months of conscript service.

According to the expert conclusion of the Central Military Medical Commission, the reason for the ugrounded referral of S. to the conscript military service was unsufficient medical examination conducted by the district military enlistment commission,” Chief Prosecutor of the department of the Minsk regional prosecutor’s office Dzianis Kuzniatsou told.

For the period of the service, the military unit paid allowances to the soldier, provided him with food and clothing. The expenses made BYN 860 in total.

According to the law, the local authorities (which set up the military enlistment commissions) are obliged to bear responsibility for the damage caused to the state by drafting the citizens who are unfit for military service due to health conditions or other reasons.

The prosecutor’s office addressed to the Minsk regional economic court with a claim on the institution of the writ proceedings. The court heard the arguments and resolved to oblige the executive committee to cover the damage caused to the military unit, and to pay the official fee to the budget. The court decision has already entered into force.
