The dictator’s press office refused to talk to the media.
Putin was almost two hours late for a meeting with Lukashenka, gazeta.ru, which broadcasts online the upcoming meeting of the two leaders, reports.
"The Sochi meeting was scheduled for 1 p.m. But so far, there has been no confirmation of its beginning. Everyone is familiar with Vladimir Putin’s habit to be late for events. This happens on a regular basis, even at international events. Meeting with Lukashenka has the status of a working visit. So it seems that someone will have to wait," – the Russian periodical reports ironically.
The Belarusian dictator’s press-service informed that Lukashenka would not talk to the press, either before or after the talks, the Belarus Halaunoha Mozha telegram channel reports.
Russian media have started to give out statements that Lukashenka cannot dictate the terms and has been nervous lately, as Belarus is dependent on external borrowing and the Russian credit.
At 14:54 Russian media reported that the meeting between Putin and Lukashenka, who arrived in Russia on a working visit, started.
