The authorities always give us a reason for "fun". KFC and Burger King buildings will be demolished near Kamennaya Gorka metro station. Potential property loss equals to $4.5 million. No one is going to cover it. The reason is alleged mistakes made by Mingorispolkom several years ago.

After that no talks about the investment invironment are acceptable. All decrees and orders of Lukashenka and the government must turn into trash. With unfailing persistance the authorities keep informing investors: "No entry! No-go zone".

One can resist me: everyone makes mistakes. Moreover, it was not a mistake; someone gave a bribe and the building was constructed in a wrong place. Now it's subject to demolition.

The answer is simple. The authorities are responsible for their officials in every civilized country and in every legal state.

The court decision should have obliged the Mingorispolkom to cover the cost of the demolished property at the market price. And then it should have been decided who was to be fired or tried. And to collect some sum from the guilty.

But it's not our story. We can only dream about substantial investments.
